What this site is

An independent, non-commercial fan project that collects what Russ Eats has said about food and drink in his public videos. It is not an official site, it is not advice, and it is not a shop.

The ratings and the words

Every score and every quote is Russ’s own opinion, taken from his videos by an automatic pipeline (transcription, frame reading and extraction). We do not add, change or invent ratings. We do make mistakes in hearing them. Every review links to the second of the video it came from: check it before you rely on a number. Nothing here is advice about what to buy or about your health.

Sponsored videos and promoted placements

Russ has previously stated that he never scores in sponsored videos, so the food he reviews carries no applied pressure or bias. The site keeps to that: a sponsored taste is shown apart, without a score, and never ranked. “Sponsored” on this site always means a video Russ was sponsored for. The site itself carries no advertising; should a placement ever be sold, it will be labelled “Promoted”, carry no score, and never enter the rated lists.

What you add

A rating or a reaction you add is yours to change or remove while you keep the anonymous sign-in that keys it. By adding it you let the site show it, counted in with everyone else’s as the audience rating beside Russ’s numbers; nothing you add ever changes his. Keep it decent: the site may hide or remove anything abusive, and limits how much one visitor can add in a day.

Content, copyright and trade marks

Short quotes, descriptions and small still frames from Russ’s videos appear here to identify and review the items, and each is linked to its source. The videos belong to their creator. Store and brand names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the store or the item; no endorsement by them, or of them, is implied. Where a picture of the product itself is shown, it was found on the web and belongs to whoever made it; it is there only to show which item was reviewed. If you own something shown here and want it corrected or removed, tell us and it will be.

Links to retailers, brands and YouTube open sites we do not control. What they sell, what it costs and whether it is in stock is theirs to say; a “find it online” link is a search or a front door, not a promise.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is, without any promise that it is accurate, complete or always available. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for loss that comes from using it or from an error in it. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

These terms change when the site does; the date at the top says when they last did.
